TGRG joins Dawn Butler MP for Black History Month celebrations

TGRG founder joined Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, Dawn Butler MP, at her Black History Month event held at the House of Commons on Wednesday (1 November). 

The intimate event celebrated diversity within the Labour party as well as the achievements of presenter June Sarpong, the UK’s first black female stand up Angie Le Mar and Baroness Chakrabati who all read extracts from their book published this year. 

Guests also mingled with Leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, who acknowledged the achievements of Africans and Caribbeans in the United Kingdom.
